Indeed, Archangel Jophiel is not mentioned in the Bible. But according to Christian lore, he is the angel who expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. Jophiel is also believed to be the guardian of the Tree of Knowledge from which Eve took the infamous apple. Another mention of Jophiel is found in the writings of medieval Christian theologian Pseudo-Dionysius. He lists Jophiel as one of the seven archangels who stand before God.
